So I’ve now tried rendering this one file 3 times, all failing with memory errors. I’ve only got a gig and half about, but last week, the same file was rendering no problems.

Anyone know what might be going on here?

EDITED: Looks like it’s happening in the same place each time. I created a freeze frame by saving a frame as a jpeg and then bringing it in. I then added a fade. In the middle of the fade is where the error is ruining the render.

EDITED MORE: It looks like just after the fade there’s just some blank space in the video before the next clip. I thought since it was a fade out, a few seconds, then a fade in, that this blank space would simply be rendered black.

Is there a way to fill the space with just black?

Have you checked the size of the particular jpeg file where you are having problems?
I had the same problem and discovered I was importing a jpeg file way too large for Sony to support.
Don’t know if that will help or not?
