I double-clicked the copy because I didn’t want to change the original in the first timeline. Other CGs I’ve use allow me to copy/change a title. Doesn’t Boris or FCP?
Thanks for the response. I now see the option for handles. Never noticed it before.
I don’t see how to change the aspect ratio of the slides. I see two columns that list the pixel aspect as HD960x720 and frame size as 960×720. But I don’t see an option to change it in the browser.
Movie Factory requires the audio be embedded with the mpg2. It will not combine them in the authoring. I’ve used this program for years, first MF 3 and now MF 6. It’s a consumer program that is very easy to use and does a nice job. But I’ve never used it with FCP before. I was happy to see Compressor already had a preset for this, but it doesn’t seem to work once I import it into Movie Factory.
That’s the one that works for me. I have to add the Luma Keyer to make the video appear through the circle. But that’s the effect I was looking for, without leaving FCP, as you say. Thanks.
What I am talking about is a colored border, with the ability to adjust the color and thickness of the border, just as you might with a switcher effect.
Where do I find the Preferences? I don’t see them in a folder anywhere, only on the menu list. I remember having to do this for the Media 100 from time to time.
This turns out to be a stranger problem. Compressor exported the whole thing after all, which I thought it did. But I had to burn it to Toast as a data DVD, and Toast did not burn the entire mpg file (although is said it did). I’m doing it again now and I’ll see what happens.
Thanks, Eric. I need to learn all of this stuff. I have a colleague who is a whiz at Motion, so I’m going to ask her to show me the CG stuff. In the meantime, I’m going to work on Live Type and try to teach myself.
