    Go to powernotebooks.com

They are great people and have a great selection, especially for power users.

I have a Sager, a friend has a sager and another has a crown.
Their laptops have more ports an I/O than your Best Buy variety.

February 5, 2008 at 8:07 pm in reply to: DVD Architect reading markers for “next” function

Yes, I can understand your confusion since I left out some information.

We set up our Vegas templates so that markers 1 thru 9 sapn from the beginning tothe end of a 30 minute program by hitting the number keys. However, when editing shows we add many more markers randomly with in the shows so that between markers 1 and 2 we could have markers 12, 23, 28 etc.
Thsi is the same with the rest of the timeline between 2 and 3 , 3 and 4 etc. Timeline navigation still works great because we hit numeric key 7 and we are right there.

The problem comes in when it goes to a DVD with embedded markers. A DVD remote will skip to the next physical marker not 1 through 9 first and so on.
So we could solve this by deleating all markers except 1 thru 9 before rendering. This takes time, however, and then we destroy valuable markers in our projects.

    Hopefully, this is more clear!

    Thanks

    Thanks DSE!

It’s unfortunate that the help text says the following:

“The presets toolbar is displayed in the bottom-right corner of the workspace. You can use this toolbar to apply preset effects and styles to your title.”

Maybe someone could point this out to sony Vegas.

Don’t get me wrong I’m happy Vegas finally has these abilities
    built in!

September 10, 2007 at 2:26 pm in reply to: audition as a multi track recorder with m-audio delta 1010

The engineer I spoke with is in agreement with you about pro tools. He prefers Cubase for his professional work, but has used Cool Edit/audition.

I can’t quote him except in a general way. He multi track software has to have exceptional I/O data paths or you get in trouble. He thought Audition would be too puny, but perhaps it has improved since he tested it.

When I make a recommendation to purchase I need to have solid data to justify things.

I would suspect that the M-Adio delta card is some.what lower end for pro work. Do you agree?

Now, I doubt that I’ll ever need more than 8 tracks and most of the time 4-6 will do.
    Any suggestions are much appreciated!

    THanks
