At bottom Right of Vegas it shows: Record Time (Two Channels) 294:22:22
Where does this data come from and how do I configure or control it?
I’ve looked in manual and can’t find any reference.

    Thanks.

That’s the length of time of AUDIO you could record on the currently specified drive based on your current audio settings.

    Thanks Ed.

    292 hours or minutes on a 500GB drive. Hmmm…
What’s really amazing is that this new 500GB SATA drive only cost $100. Damn near free!

    Ken,

Where did you get it and what brand?

    Hi Larry,

I just bought one from NewEgg.com. It is a WesternDigital. SATA 7200rpm /w 3MB cache. Works great!

    NewEgg has a sale on a Seagate 750GB for a whopping $140.

You almost can’t figure out the cost per megabyte.
BTW: When I got in this business in 1980 I bought a customer a 300 MB (mega) for a delivered price of $10,800. It was the size of a washing machine and took 3 of us to move it.

So, that’s from $33/MB down to less than 1/2 mil per MB.

    WOW!
