    Well,
I use audio compression all the time in my video editor.
However, what I’m looking for is a destructive compressor/limiter I think.

    DSE,
    Another question relating to audio:
Is there a plug-in or tool to that scans an audio file
which finds hot spots, identifies them and allows you to lower them by a specific amount?

We have a TV host who has a loud laugh and it would speed things up if I could just automate that rather than selecting them one at a time and lowering them before I normalize the file.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

That’s what I probably will do. I was thinking that I could have some added capability by editing audio on another workstation while rendering on my video workstation.

    Takes is a wonderful feature.

    Thanks

    Thanks Mike and Rick!

Yourideas will really help! There is a lot of power in
    nested projects!

Are they stable? Can you get bitten somehow?

    Thanks again

I did and it took a lot of calls before they told me they could not provide the install program. I’ve downloaded 2.0 to use while I wait for version three to come out.
If I bought 2.0 now I would not get a free upgrade to 3.0 even though it is immanent.
    Thanks

No it’s not out of the question if I grovel a bit.
    Embarassing yes.

    I’ll try some filtering first

    Thanks

Sorry about that! I meant to say the images are still images (photos- most often) that we incorporate into a video by doing a move on it.

The settings I’ve used don’t look like it is chiseled out it looks raised or built up.

It needs to be somewhat convincing to accomplish what I want it to.

I don’t beleive it should be that difficult – I’ve seen it done enough, but not sure how.

    Thanks
