Audio Mystery! (to me at least)
When recording a TV talk show I have an RNC compressor using inserts on a mackie mixer on the main talent.
The RNC has a mode that is actually goes into a series of two compressors. This goes to a Sony DVCAM deck. I never have any peaking.When I bring this captured AVI into Vegas it peaks (red) when normalized. Why is this?
How can I keep it from peaking? (red) or what am I doing wrong?
