Hi Erik, Yep, It’s me . . .I need to check out Vegas and I am trying to find a way to use my “normal” NLE workflow on Vegas. Just trying to see if there’s a way to emulate my current workflow while I learn about the different workflow that Vegas offers.

    Thanx

Walter, do you use the component output to the Kona card?

Thanks to all, just put in my order for the TH-50PF9UK with the optional HD-SDI board. It does seem to be the most sensible option . . .today

    Thanx again,

You might want to consider Matrox RTX 2

  • Is the Work Area Bar covering the entire sequence or did you shorten it over the clip you want, you must do this manually, there is no automatic way to adjust the length of the Work Area Bar, In/Outs or Selection doesn’t do it . .

I assume you mean Axio LE, if so, this is all pretty simple and should be easy to find in the Axio docs.

If you are working in an HDV based project, you can simply change the Project playback settings to Standard Definition and you can playout or record to SD tape.

As far as creating MPEG2 files, simply use the Matrox Media Encoder.

    I hope this helps

Kind of a gross overgeneralization about the RTX 100, I used it without any problems at all. I now use the RTX2 and Axio with PPro 2.0 and would recommend them without hesitation.
Different strokes for different folks . . .
