I need to have a 48-50″ Plasma or LCD for clients to view. The projects will always be 23.98 or 24 frame. Does anyone have real-life experience with any plasma or LCD’s that actually support 23.98 or 24 fps via HD-SDI or Component HD? It must be a 50″ monitor . . .video will come from an AJA BOB or AVID DNA DNXcel board

Thanx for any and all advice

Yes…I got a Panasonic 42″ 9UK from the same series for under $1000 and use it for client viewing and paired with a Sony CRT for color correction. The image is extremely clean and matches the CRT very well. It also runs component from my KONA 3 at a wide range of sizes and frame rates.

    Best of luck.

And they have an HD-SDI plug in board for the Panasonics. Works great. 23.98, 24.0, etc…. the set looks nice with SD images too.

Thanks to all, just put in my order for the TH-50PF9UK with the optional HD-SDI board. It does seem to be the most sensible option . . .today

    Thanx again,

Just FYI, we run two Panasonic plasmas and we run them via Component. Didn’t bother with the HD-SDI and they look fantastic. Just an FYI if you want to save some money.

I did pick up the HDMI input for our BluRay player though.
