Hi,

The issue here is that Final Cut Pro does not support 720p50 as yet. Apple did do a tech demo at IBC 2007 that shows this so we expect an update from them soon to enable this feature.

Doesn’t sound good. Could be a power supply issue either with the power adapter or the internal unit in the Multibridge.

Does it run in standalone converter mode? Disconnect the PCIe cable, hook up USB and launch the Multibridge Utility. See if the options are available or greyed out.

It’s not an Intel only codec but you’ll need at least a quad G5 in order to capture in real time.

Hi,

From my understanding, the deck will apply the correct pulldown and send out a 29.97 fps signal when you play back your 24PA tape in the deck. You then simply use the “Blackmagic – NTSC” easy setup to capture.

Hi Lucas,

It must be an editing application or you can use Media Express which is installed with the Intensity drivers. Windows Media Player will not output via Intensity.

Hi,

Don’t think it’s the firmware of the Mac.

I would check the PCI Express cables to make sure they are securely fastened. Also check that the little LED light on the front of your Multibridge Extreme is lit up and not blinking.
