  • In addition, you have to use Final Cut Pro or the Media Express application we provide for free with the drivers. iMovie or Final Cut Express will not allow the use of the PCI/PCIe video capture device.

    Hi,

It’s possible that the power supply unit for the HDLink Pro is faulty so you should speak to your reseller about getting a replacement.

I don’t believe there’s any chance to the DVI/HDMI port behaviour but could you check if running the v2.5 driver and see if there’s a difference with the projector you’re using? BTW, what make/model is the projector?

If the utility application is active, it means that the hardware is detected so the firmware should be installed properly. If the firmware is corrupted, the utility application should not even see HDLink as being connected.

    Hi,

HDLink Pro is an SDI to DVI/HDMI converter so you’ll still need an SDI source.

I’m not sure what kind of external monitors you have, but HD Extreme will most likely be the best choice as it provides component HD, HD-SDI as well as HDMI outputs.

    Hi Chris,

Video level capture controls are located in the DeckLink preference pane in your OS X System Preferences. The sliders in Final Cut Pro will not be able to talk to the hardware of the card in this instance.

    Hi,

It’s most likely copy protected and we don’t pass through or capture copy protected HDMI streams.

Unfortunately, most DVD players will encrypt the HDMI output even if the disc is not copy protected.

    Hi,

Doesn’t sound good. Make sure you run the latest driver and see if this is still happening (drivers contain firmware updates), and if it does, you should speak to your reseller about an RMA.

    Hi,

The 2K standards used by these products could be different. HDLink Pro will play realtime 2K in full resolution 2048×1556 via 3Gb/s SDI. I don’t think these products mentioned have 3Gb/s SDI. Usually, 2K is handled either via HSDL which (I think) runs at 20fps, or they output a 2K image that is cropped down to 1080.

  • Hi Kevin,

Intensity does not have a built in 5.1 decoder so it just sees the encoded audio stream as data bits which makes it sounds garbled. Unfortunately, there’s no way around it at this point, you’ll have to turn off surround sound when capturing via the Intensity card.
