  • dual link to 3Gbps for HDLink Pro 2K

Posted by Mathieu Marano on June 4, 2008 at 2:59 pm

    Hi,
I bought an HDLink Pro to monitor 2K on a 30inch display. For 2K, the HDLink Pro will only take a single-link 3Gbps input but my card outputs only dual link HD-SDI at 1.5G (for each link). What could I use to convert the Dual link HD-SDI to the single link 3Gbps?

    thanks

It does that with a Kona 3 and a DVS Centaur.

    Hi,

The 2K standards used by these products could be different. HDLink Pro will play realtime 2K in full resolution 2048×1556 via 3Gb/s SDI. I don’t think these products mentioned have 3Gb/s SDI. Usually, 2K is handled either via HSDL which (I think) runs at 20fps, or they output a 2K image that is cropped down to 1080.

    regards
