    Hi Nick,

Thanks for posting your setup, it’s really cool to see how low cost systems can be put together to run UltrasScope.

Are you monitoring HD or SD video? I’m surprised that the GeForce 9400GT is working fine for you. Although UltraScope will run with that particular card, I’m will not be expecting full frame rate performance when monitoring HD video at 1080i59.94 so it’ll be interesting to know what kind of sources and frame rate you’re monitoring.

  • Hi Dane,

10-bit Uncompressed 4:2:2 will be your best option and the Caldigit HDOne should be able to support this data rate.

    Hi Steve,

Sure. Current driver already work with it but we need to put in some presets for the new codecs that the new version supports.

    Hi Joe,

Which HDLink Utility version do you have installed?

  • Hi,

One other consideration is also the frame rate you are working in. If you’re doing 1080p24 and you want to monitor it at the native framerate, use HDMI but your monitor must support that framerate. With DVI, we will output 60 Hz which is what most DVI monitors will ask for.

    Hi Mike,

Baz was referring to Media Express v1 which is just a basic capture and playout application.

    Hi Jon,

Umatics and CHS are unstable signal sources which could explain the dropouts as the card expects a stable source. Have you tried any other composite video sources?

    Hi Marcus,

You might want to also confirm using a different application like Blackmagic Deck Control that is installed with the drivers to see if the same thing is happening. Make sure you check the preference settings again to make sure nothing has been changed in the meantime with your input settings configuration.
