    Hi,

Is this a PCIe or PCI card? What Mac do you have? What deck (make/model) are you putting out to?

Are ou able to get video out when not printing to video? If so, is it through the SDI or analog component outputs of the card?

    regards

    Hi Lars,

I doubt the issues are related. The unstable performanace (ie crashing) of OpenGL apps like Motion and Aperture should be reolsved with the OS X 10.4.4 update. Please verify this is what you’re using. If you’re still having crashes even after upgrading to the latest OS X driver, please forward the crash report to us at support[at]blackmagic-design.com

    Hi Vinne,

Final Cut Express HD does not support third-party SD and HD cards. See this feature comparison table from Apple:

    Hi Karylove22,

Have you tested the card’s input with any other HD-SDI source?

February 20, 2006 at 11:27 pm in reply to: Split down conversion MB extreme

    Hi Chris,

When you turn on Hardware Down Conversion on the Multibridge Extreme, this is what you get out of the ports:

    SDI Channel A: HD-SDI
    SDI Channel B: SD-SDI
    DVI: HD
    Component: HD
Composite: – (composite doesn’t have enough bandwidth of HD video)

If the Analog Output Down Conversion is enabled:

    SDI Channel A: HD-SDI
    SDI Channel B: SD-SDI
    DVI: HD
    Component: SD
    Composite: SD

We support 720p59.94 Down Conversion for 720 HD. 1080i50 gets down converted to PAL. 1080p23.98 and i59.94 gets down converted to NTSC.

    Hi Dan,

    Please provide more information.

    1) What make / model of deck (or source) are you capturing from?

    2) What format of video are you capturing and to what codec?

    3) Did you use the easy setups provided by us in Final Cut Pro? They are located in Final Cut Pro>Easy setup…

  • Hi,

[Kevin Wild] “Every time I open it, the pattern on the Red graph is all screwy looking.”

Is it possible for you to send us a screenshot of how it looks like? Send it to support[at]blackmagic-design.com

What version of HDLink Utility are you using?
