  • Decklink Extreme and Final Cut Express HD….

Posted by Vinnie on February 21, 2006 at 6:30 pm

Just got the decklink card (PCIe) in the G5 and the system recognizes it (how cool is it to watch trailers on your monitor and check photoshop colors for broadcast) and so does AE 7…no problem. But my Final Cut Express HD is not showing any setups for blackmagic. I downloaded the newest drivers for OSX 10.4.4 and all that jazz…still no love.

Is the Final Cut Express HD not an option for the decklink extreme????

    thanks,
    Vinnie

Final Cut Express doesn’t support the BMD cards.

    Hi Vinne,

Final Cut Express HD does not support third-party SD and HD cards. See this feature comparison table from Apple:
