Hi Kevin,

The Multibridge Extreme will drive the 30″ and also provide scaling options to fit the video to the 30″‘s screen dimension.
If you intend to move to 2K eventually, the 30″ Cinema display will also be required.

We’ll look into the iPhoto problem. Sounds similar to the one Apple had with Aperture which was fixed in on of the OS updates.

Yup, we’ve done both HDVi59.94 and HDVi50 on a system with a Blackmagic card installed.

The link I had provided was for Quicktime 7.04 but the standalone Quicktime 7.1 installer should be fine.

I would go into the library folder, delete the Quicktime receipts and then redownload the Quicktime installer from Apple. If you look a few threads down, I had posted the link to the Quicktime 7.04 installer.

We regularly play around with HDV capture via firewire to the native HDV codec and have not come across this issue.

It’s not necessary as you have the Apple Uncompressed 4:2:2 codec that is installed by Final Cut Pro. Just use those.

Yes, we use the Y and B-Y BNC connectors to provide Y/C. We don’t provide the cables, but you can easily get from other suppliers. See this note:

The Look Up Tables on Multibridges only affect the DVI-D output. HDMI output on the Multibridge Pro will not have LUTs.

It’s software vs hardware downconversion. With software down conversion, you can only have SD or HD output, not both. With Multibridge Extreme, hardware down conversion allows simultaneous SD and HD output.

720p59.94 -> NTSC
1080i59.94 -> NTSC
1080p23.98 -> NTSC
1080i50 -> PAL
