Hi Neil,

HDV capture via firewire should be a straight forward process even on a Blackmagic equipped Mac. Have you tried reinstalling Quicktime instead?

We support 720p 24/23.98 as part of varicam framerate, ie over 59.94.

We’ll be happy to replace the card if it is indeed defective. Don’t worry about the warranty status.

Can you let me know if this problem is happening on the SDI or analog outputs?

Also, have you tried this card in another slot or Mac as well as another monitoring device?

I don’t have the specifications for your monitor but can you verify that it accepts component video Y, B-Y, R-Y instead of RGB?

Hi Peter,

It’s not varicam support. That we already do. This is native 720p50 non-varicam mode.

Hi,

Wat you’re doing sounds right. If you’re monitoring just composite video, se the Y output from the card and send that into the Line A of your monitor. You should also switch the output options in the DeckLink preferences to “NTSC / PAL (Y Out)”.

Hi,

All the DeckLink hardware cards do hardware colour-space conversion and also 10 bit RGB colorspace support and conversion in hardware on the dual link cards.

As for the issue with Final Touch, we’re trying to work it out with the Silicon Color guys.
