I just recently bought an HD Extreme card (PCI-Express version) and have been trying to get it to work but have been unsuccessful. I’ve gone through the whole installation process exactly as described and verified installation and everything appears OK. The problem arises whenever I try to use my card in Deck Control or Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.

What happens is my computer will freeze for maybe five seconds and then go to a blue screen, giving a MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION error, simultaneously disabling all hardware and forcing a reboot. Can anyone help me out with this?

The slot seems to work fine – I’ve used my video card in that slot before. I have no other computer problems whatsoever. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can you tell us your exact system profile or even better, send the NFO file to pcsupport[at]blackmagic-design.com

TO obtain the NFO file, go to Start -> Run and type “msinfo32”

I’ve had that same BSOD thing only once with the HD Extreme PCIe during a capture within Premiere Pro. Hasn’t happened again.

A follow up for those that may experience the same problem. I was initially using a DFI LanParty UT nf4 SLI-DR motherboard and switched over to an Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe, as recommended by BMD, and it now works just fine. Thanks everyone!
