    Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone here can recomend the dell 30inch display for use with the multibridge exteme. I’ve read through all the posts here and can’t seem to find anyone using this. Everyone here seems to be useing Quad g5’s with fcp.

We are planning to use the dell/multibridge combo on a A8n32deluxe with a dualcore 4800 with 4gb ram….We are hoping to get 2k playback via the onboard 4channel sata raid with 4 300gb sata2 seagate drives,in premiere pro 2.

Do you think this could work? I know this motherboard is certified…but it would be nice to know if anyone has got a similar setup up and running.

I’ll reply seeing no one else did.

The 4x300gb sata drives are giveing us about 208mbpsec. Still haven’t got the dell.

    Hi,

We’ve tested both the Apple and Dell 30″ and will recommend the Apple 30″ display as we’ve seen performace issues with the Dell.

    Hi Kristian
when you tested the two types of monitors ,what kind of performance issues did you see with the dell….is the refresh rate not fast enough….It’s just that we have already ordered the dell 30″?

I don;t know why you would see differences in favor of the Apple.
It’s the same LG LCD panel in different housin with trivial differences in firmware implementation – the Dell is latest version, and new Cinema 30’s also use this panel.
