The latest PPro update fixed the eyedropper issue. Make sure you have 5.5.2

  • You will have to set your sequence settings in FCP to use the blackmagic playback settings as well.

  • In Premiere Pro, Is the sequence you are trying to view a “Blackmagic” sequence setting? If not you will only see a black screen from PPro.

  • You have not told us much about your workflow, such as how long the program is, deliverable specs ect. but i am trying to figure out why you would want to drop your encoded framerate to 2fps.

    when you could:

-cut your project in PPro (Where I assume it looks fine) then…
    -FileExportMedia or cnmd+m
-in adobe media encoder choose the codec you would like, adjust the parameters to meet your deliverable specs, set your bitrate and encode.

PPro does not compress video for output, that is a job for another program.

Update: after troubleshooting every option it seems that the HDMI input is dead. Sent the unit back to BMD for repair.

James offers you good advice, but for whatever reason if your workflow demands and you chosse not follow it you would change your cross conversion settings in the desktop video pref. panel, under processing.

Not sure if this will help because we don’t know your complete system specs but you can read a response about the same issue from BMD

January 27, 2012 at 12:54 am in reply to: Moving transitions from Source window to timline

I am using CS5.5. Yes, cutting and pasting works and is very useful for multiplying the transition one cut at a time instead of a group of clips, but, the transition will have to be built every time I want to use it in future projects.

It’s not the end of the world and I have a feeling that CS6 will address a lot of shortcomings of the current build
