Are you using the transition into another clip with an image, or into black video? Sorry I don’t think I understood the original post.

Just open the transition effects controls and adjust alignment to “end at cut” and then adjust the “end” value to “50.0

You can create motion titles in the current version on PPro via keyframing parameters in the title tool and effects tab. Besides they are many great AE tuts available that would get your editors up and running with creating titles in minutes.

I am not running 5, so someone else will have to answer that. It was broken in 5.5 on a mac with two displays of differing resolution, but the 5.5.2 update fixed the problem and now it works great.
