The selections are greyed out because the app is not seeing the card. What might be happening is that you are not using a BMD sequence. Try using a BMD sequence preset and see if you get different results.

Works fine here with the same workflow I always use.
Choose export from the menu adjust your presets and then press the Queue button at the bottom of the Export Settings window. It will then open AME and you can run your batch from there.

June 20, 2013 at 1:18 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC rendering shadows in dynamic-link AE comps differently?I have not dug into AE PrPro DL yet but try this. Instead of starting with the Txt layers in AE, instead select your clip from PrPro with the AE comp open in the background and in PrPro choose “replace with AE comp” then in AE lay your text comps over the DL clip from PrPro to troubleshoot if you see any difference with that workflow.
There are many workflows for DL but I tend to find greater reliability going from PrPro to AE. Also make sure when you are viewing the clip in PrPro that your AE Comp is set to full res, otherwise the DL clip will only be in draft mode.

June 19, 2013 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Add text in premiere pro that my subject can walk through? There is no best way to do that without jumping over to AE. PrPro is an NLE not a compositing application. even in AE you are going to have to Roto the actor for the transition through the gfx layer.

Not sure about encore but AME downloads as a package with one of the other apps. It should be sitting in your applications folder.

June 17, 2013 at 1:47 pm in reply to: PPro on late 2008 MBP, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM?That MBP should support 16Mb of RAM. the memory pool is adobe’s way of allocating memory to the CC apps that need it the most.
