It will work but not as smooth as a newer model with a better graphics card and faster processors. You will also need to double the amount of installed RAM as 8GB is not enough for the memory pool.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know.
    What pool?
I think 8GB is the max that I can install in my model MBP 🙁

That MBP should support 16Mb of RAM. the memory pool is adobe’s way of allocating memory to the CC apps that need it the most.

I have run CS 6. on a MBP with 8 GBs. It does work. But I agree, while your MBP will work, it is not an optimum situation. Be sure to have enough hard disk free and use an external FW800 or esata card express card for all your media. Start saving for an upgrade (G).

Thanks for your reply. I just installed PPro on my old MBP, and you’re right, it works. So long as I have it on 1/4 quality playback. I’ll try installing 16GB of Ram, and will stick to eStaa instead of firewire.

    thanks!
