Thank you very much for sharing with us what you have reached, Eric! so the problem is in the intermediate points, I also have it working on the Adaptive and not the Uniform, on Uniform there is a bug in the simulation as in the screen recording below, from the beginning, the file I sent you was supposed to work, but it seems that Uniform was the default setting for the intermediate points in your version so it did not work for you until you change it to Adaptive. If increasing the points and making them evenly spaced improves the simulation for you I will attach a link to a post in the forum explaining how to do this easily.

I don’t think you should trying to do it another way since you make sure that the previous method is working, you just have to try to find a way to avoid the version problem, I think that the same simulation should work on your version only there may be a slight change in the method, as you saw in the tutorial when they check Update Live the link is created but when I did the same thing with me nothing happened until I click Create, you may need some slight changes like this to work for you, you could also read the help to make sure how the simulation works on your version.

This is weird because it worked for me as you saw in the previous screen recording it might have a relation with the version, click on clear in the connector tag and then click on create again, it might be necessary to create the link and make sure the initial settings in the connector tag are the same as what I have or not because this might change from version to another, also make sure the units in the Preference is centimeters.

I also tried to replicate it, but it didn’t work for me, I don’t think the problem is in the expresso because you made the same structure and it’s not complex to need an expert, the problem might be related to something in the previous steps that I could not review it accurately, especially with the length of the tutorial or because there is a missing link somewhere, I suggest you contact the content owner he has put his social media addresses on the home page.

It also didn’t work for me exactly like in the tutorial but instead, I made the cage editable, then I stored the anchor point selection and put it in the connectore tag as in the screen recording below and it worked like in the tutorial, I’ve attached the file too, let me know if this works for you.

I supposed that you mean the material in the image below, it looks like the glow channel has been activated somehow, you could check the material editor to make sure then disable the glow channel to remove the effect, if this is not the case you could post the file here so we can check it for you.

There are other methods, but they may differ from the principle on which your animation was built, so you cannot apply them now, such as using an Effector for example. I am not familiar with the “Time” tracker, but it may help to making the time entry the last thing you do after making sure that you have made all the changes you may need it.
