I have been following this tutorial(below & cued up) to stick a texture to a bunch of clones. Everything works fine until I get to the last section where Xpresso is supposed to use the look at the hierarchy-index of my objects and connect them back to the index of my rigid body cloner.

My objects only move to the initial position of the cloner-when I hit play the don’t attach to the clones as in the tutorial. I don’t use Xpresso much, so I’m not sure if I’ve done something wrong or if there has been an update and the tutorial is incorrect.

Attached is a very simplified version of the project and what I’m encountering. I’m trying to use this technique for a much more complicated logo reveal, but I’m stuck at this step.

    Thanks,
    Johnny

    Hi John,

I also tried to replicate it, but it didn’t work for me, I don’t think the problem is in the expresso because you made the same structure and it’s not complex to need an expert, the problem might be related to something in the previous steps that I could not review it accurately, especially with the length of the tutorial or because there is a missing link somewhere, I suggest you contact the content owner he has put his social media addresses on the home page.

In case anyone needs to do something like this, the trick is to add a matrix object to the project. Then change the mode to Object and use the cloner as the object. Then use the matrix object in the Xpresso to drive your non-dynamic objects.

Attached is the updated version if anyone needs to use it as a reference.
