Same thing happened to me with the version 7 update. But, I called customer service (an oxyMORON) and they credited the $100 back to my credit card. I don’t know if it is too late now but I would certainly try!

    Thanks Mike
I’m getting excited now. It sounds like some very nice improvements!

I’m another old “Fasternaut” as well. I still have 3 Fast VM’s that I use in the operation of a city government channel. With the hybrid editing and a no render output, they keep churning out uncomplicated pieces on a daily basis! I also came to Vegas on ver 4.

I’m glad you enjoy the Digital Juice SFX library. I am the male voice for many of the production voice tracks in their library.
The latest DJ set has many usable phrases in both male and female versions that everyone should find very easy to work with.
As a Vegas user I’m proud to say I hope it makes your work a tad bit easier and much less expensive.

An update, I tried un-checking base DV resolution decoding by preview window size. That had no effect. I reset it back to being checked

Changing the size of the window does nothing to help.
Is there a pre-capture buffer setting in capture that could be enlarged? I’ve had audio programs that that has helped in the past

Gary, thanks for the response. the 17.4fps comes from the message after I stop the capture. it also shows a data rate of 1.99MB/sec.
Are you talking about the window size in preview? If so, I had it on “auto” and tried reducing preview to half. That made no difference at all same problem, same rate etc.

You should be able to do it in any audio editor program simply open and the “save as” as wav file. You can also do it in Vegas by going to “render as” and select windows PCM wav.

Are you able to hear .wav files or the natural audio from the camera etc?
If so you may be having a problem with the imported wma file. I just went through a 2 day experience with Vegas and wma files. I could hear mine but they fell in and out of sync while playing and also “wowed” with audible pitch changes. Sony confirmed some systems have problems with wma files.
If you can hear other types of files try converting (rendering) your wma file to a wav file. Thats what I did and everything was fine
