I use Itiny’s Total Video Converter. It will convert any file to any other type of file and is fast and easy. Costs less than $50.

My blood pressure has returned to normal and I owe many apologies to Sony Digital Media and their staff.
Another phone call to support and a bunch of brain storming seems to have found the problem. Our project included some audio files extracted from a CD. They showed up in the audio track as WMA files. We rendered them to WAV files and that seems to have solved the erratic sync problem. Some are still out of sync but it is at least consistant. We are going through and re syncing the files and we hope that that will end our problem. We will keep you posted

My Vegas 7 disc only has Borris Grafitti LTD, No Borris FX. How do I get the FX program?

Thank you sir, but is there a stand-alone stabiliizer out there or better yet, a plug-in for Vegas? Virtual Dub seems like an additional step I really dont’t need

Vers 7 works very well with the Sony camera using the same firewire cord drives etc. Other decks work with this computer as well. The Gl-1 works with other computers. It is just ver 7 and the GL-1 that don’t paly well together.

Thanks Ed. Yes to all of the above. Infact the GL-1 will do a print to tape for about 1 or 2 minutes and then I get an error saying it can’t comunicate with the device. Yet in version 6 it works fine. BTW the choice in version 7 is DV or HDV. Version 6 is external etc.
