The demo videos on their site have songs from Kesha, the Pixies and the Beatles. I doubt they’ve licensed these. I don’t think magisto is long for this world.

  • I’m also running resolve almost every day for two years now, with 12gb ram and have NEVER seen this pop up.

What is your exact configuration? Seems there maybe something else to blame here.

Yes, people do grade for P3 in 709. Yes it works well. It looks when projected as good as things look in 709. Which when done well looks pretty damn good. I’ve venture to say most DCP work is done this way. Are you going to miss out on something in the extremes. Possibly. Will anyone notice? Doubtful. Since you don’t have any P3 gear it sounds like you would be far far better off working in the space you know and checking the converted material in a proper screening room.

I’ll do you one better. Cheap computer, DVI to HDMI cable, monoprice $50 HDMI over cat5e ( https://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10105&cs_id=1010504&p_id=4065&seq=1&format=2 ) and an inexpensive 23-24 inch monitor (or perhaps a cheap TV as a monitor) to display the image.

Great! So when will it run on my Tandy 1000? It’s got an 8086 processor and 512KB of ram. Should be enough for realtime 4K stereo, right? If not I’m not blowing 900 bucks on a davinci.

I’ve run the HDMI out from my decklink by cutting off a bit of the aluminum PCI mount for the ATTO card I out in slot-4. Took the HDMI extension cable from the BMD provided PCI bracket, feed it through the slot-4 PCI slot, inserted the ATTO card, placed the HDMI cable in the Drummel created groove, and viola. HDMI out along side Fibre Channel, GT120 and GTX285… all in one box. Mac Pro warrante intact.

  • Wonder if you encounter any issue connecting Mac Pros (with Apple/LSI FC HBAs and Mac OS X 10.5.x) to QLogic FC switches with 7.4.0.16 firmware?

    No issues. Works well.

Should I update the existing QLogic 5602 to the same firmware as the 5800V?

If you want to stack, then they should all be on the same firmware.

I read in QLogic forum, it’s recommended to update to 6.8.0.03 first, then to 7.4.0.16.
Wonder if you have any similar experience?

This is recommended only if you need to do a hot upgrade (without losing any connectivity). If you can do a reset on teh switches (meaning take the san down, update firmware, restart switches, bring san back up) then you can go straight from 5.x to 7.4.0.16. This is what we did and it’s all working very well, qlogic is very solid.
