What’s the source of the QT? I tried bringing a QT in I converted from an MPEG2 using conversion utility. I never could get it exactly right…

Firewire – yes. As long as the buss the Mojo is using is seperate from the buss you’ve got your drives plugged into, you should be OK.
I’ve not had good luck with USB. The data rate is not enough to sustain anything other than 15:1… (at least in my experience..)

You could try consolidating. I’m not in front of my machine right now, so the details are a bit fuzzy… You could consolidate your footage, then copy the project files over…

I don’t deinterlace – if I need to, I’ll do it in Sorenson.
As far as switching between interlaced and progressive, I believe you need to select that when you start your project…

After you have grouped your clips, and you are in multicam mode, look at the top of the source monitor. There is a little box that indicates you have a grouped clip loaded. It is also a pulldown menu; click on it, and identify which audio track you want.

Try changing your project type to OMF in settings / media creation? I don’t believe you can open an OMF project in an MXF project, and vice versa…

The XPress Pro keyboard should work with MC – its just a keyboard. However you have your keyboard mapped currently within the software is how the keyboard will work. Meaning if you have insert edit mapped to ‘b’ on your current keyboard, it will be ‘b’ on the new keyboard. The colored keycaps are just that – eye candy.
But, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with eye candy.

My guess is your problem lies with your video card. Here are the Xpress Pro system requirements…

Did you read the readme file? Is your macpro compatible? What are your system specs?

A plugin as in something that works inside MC? There’s nothing I know of that works inside MC. Or a standalone encoding software? I use Sorenson 4.5 (full). Others swear by ProCoder. IMO, I’d stay away from Cleaner. I’ve not had a product come out of it yet that didn’t requre several attempts to make it work…
