That’s all true Dave. However, another thought would be sending to Audition and back (creates new audio clip in project) this could be a completely viable and useful option since audio effects to master audio clips is not supported. I was searching for the same thing as I often doing master clip color/effects to Slog ftg etc. My issue in finding this thread was similar with an audio piece, although often I send to Audition to capture and repair noise etc., I wanted to apply effects clip wide to a master clip to eliminate all the copy and pasting I might have to do for 50 some edits to an audio effected voice or sfx track. My first thought was to apply to the master clip just like I do with color often. Although I screw up often and work hard to not paint myself into corners, I am not sure how applying a simple audio effect to a master clip, say making a eq adjustment or applying a filter, may have potential for screwing up my audio big time. Now of course, not being done this exact road, I have no experience with issues or obstacles or Premiere inadequacies that may appear on this path. Thanks for letting me chime in. I ended up selecting the audio clip in the project window, right clicking and “Edit in Adobe Audition/clip” function. After applying the needed effects in Audition, I was rewarded with a new “extracted” clip to use as my source pre-effected.

November 10, 2017 at 5:34 pm in reply to: “Find sequence in project”. How to keep it inside Project panel instead of pop out windowAs a veteran PPro/AE user this was driving me nuts on new Windows system. (Switched from Mac) Each time you select “reveal project sequence” in PPro 2017 it would open your bin in a pop-up. Even if I already had the sequence selected in the project bin. (I use this same feature to find clips as a keyboard shortcut often to get to master clips of things in a sequence, was giving same result of a new pop out bin)
I tried all the preference changes, project always opened at root, Reset all preferences etc… nothing.
Then, about a week later, today, I changed Preferences/General/Bins/Double-click to: open in place and clicked ok. Then I actually double clicked a sequence and the associated bin replaced my project bin.
Then I closed and re-opened my project bin (had to move it back to normal placement) and closed the “edits” bin that opened on the double click. Then back to preferences to change the bin setting for double click back to open new window. Now when I choose “reveal in sequence in project” under the sequence flyout tab, it reveals the sequence (or clip or whatever) in the project window, (no matter which folder/bin I have open) as expected.
I am only posting this now in the event someone else has this issue and this recipe works for them as it did me.
cheers,
-Jonps I’m with Dave, there is no substitute for organization and it is the soil all creative work blossoms from.

I love mocha and use it all the time. Great tool.
Here’s the thing, it takes a little getting used to. You need to know how it thinks and what it does with the data. Find any tutorials you can, especially those from Imagineer and AdobeTV. and/or continue searching on the Cow and you will discover your solution.Virtually always an “off track” is one of these things:
You or I have not set and/or pasted to the proper start frame.Yours or my tracking clip and our comp are not the same size. (Pre-render your track clip to be the same size and match placement in your comp)
Something else is off sync like frame rates etc…

For anyone else looking for this.
You can hold down the Y key (the pan behind tool)to re-position the fill inside your mask. For rotation however, I just use an alpha track matte on a mask only layer…Jon Merrifield

I know it’s a few years later but your post was exactly the info I was looking for today as I have not been a huge user of AI files. Cheers.

Hi Graham,
Thank you for updating. I am having the same or very similar issue with AE CC but am ok with CS6. I am unable to make use of CC due to this issue.I am following your thread and others to try and make determinations and as a way of troubleshooting. Adobe has not been helpful in this matter. which is a problem for me since I am paying for but cannot use CC. But I digress…
May I ask you to please update as you discover solutions or continued problems.
Thank you so much.
