    Hi guys,
I’m looking for some advice on how to create a 3D warp tunnel like from the new Star Trek movie:

I’ve managed to crack a pretty nice texture using a fractal noise and some light bursts, but the problem is that I’m unsure how to actually create a “3D Tunnel” where the camera pans from one side of the tunnel to the other while the ship flies by.
I’m an armature/novice when it comes to AE so I am not even sure if this is possible. I’m starting to think this can only be done by a 3D rendering program like lightwave, but since AE has 3D elements, I wanted to see what you guys think?

    Thanks.
