Whenever people want help with Premiere Pro it makes a massive difference if we know what version you are using – as they are different in capabilities and even effects listings.
I’m pretty sure version 1 (which I am assuming you are using) has the “timecode” effect in the video effect folder. By default it will use the clips timecode as a BITC.
If you want to make a timeline based BITC then you’ll want to add a transparent layer and apply the “timecode” effect to that. If the number need to start ticking over from another number other than the 00:00:00:00 default then use Generate and type in the numbers you want it to start from.
If you do want to use the clips actual timecode that is on the tape you need to apply the effect in its default on every single clip. I’d add it to one clip, see that it works the way you want and is in the position you like and size, opacity etc, then copy the clip, select all the other clips – paste attributes.

Dont copy or duplicate any of the titles. They are embedded into the project and will only cause strange results. What you need to do is make the first one, then when you are done with it hit the make new title based on current title button its on the top left somewhere looks like a T button. Keep working, hit this button again and then change the name of title type up, repeat. Its way faster that saving to update.

EDL. make sure you are importing the EDL into the same type of project.
Sorry there is no way to bring all of your effects. It will only bring in the Video Layer 1 clips too. There are many restrictions with EDL, but at least you don’t need to start from scratch on another system.
Also set the type of EDL import to Reconnect… The you have to reconnect 1 item to get others to come in. Make sure your clips are all in one folder for best reconnect results.

QT is a pain in the ain. You need to set the File>Export>Movie…QT this needs to be setup as a SqPxl export so not anamorphic, do the math of hieght of video divided by 9, take this number and times by 16 for the SqPxl PAR width for a 16×9 export that QT will then understand.

Are you working with an Anamorphic 16×9 project/footage? That will behave like a 4×3 image (which it actually is) any serious garbage matting should be done in AE.

Need help Quickly.I’d try to to a Project Manager clean up and have the system chop up all the edits you’ve made into separate clips. Then open the new trimmed project and export from there. Make sure you add some handles so you have a little flexibility for any alts you might need to make.
Not sure why its slipping. The single file of that length of video is uncommon and may be causing the issue. Black Magic drivers should be upto date too.

Try opening an new project with the same settings as your corrupted project. Then import the actual corrupted project into this new one.
That has saved many deadlines. Hope you haven’t tried this yet and that is works.
