June 5, 2008 at 2:26 amI know you need to export an EDL (Edit Decision List), but I am having the same problem (see my recent).
I know that it will export 1 video and up to 4 audio tracks, but I can’t get it to import into Final Cut.
If you find a solution, let me know!

June 5, 2008 at 4:40 amEDL. make sure you are importing the EDL into the same type of project.
Sorry there is no way to bring all of your effects. It will only bring in the Video Layer 1 clips too. There are many restrictions with EDL, but at least you don’t need to start from scratch on another system.
Also set the type of EDL import to Reconnect… The you have to reconnect 1 item to get others to come in. Make sure your clips are all in one folder for best reconnect results.

June 13, 2008 at 9:31 pmIf this is anything like most time in dealing with EDL’s…
you will have to output and EDL for each track in premiere….
these will generate multiple sequences in FCP…
then you will have to copy and paste them all togther in one sequence in FCP.
I also suggest outputting a refernce Clip that you can import into FCP)
that way when you capture based on the new sequnce in FCP you will be able to compare and know that you have the right media.
Hope this helps…
