Try NTFS or Mac OS Extended. Not sure you can Consilidate to ExFat. I remember running into this in the past.

As a test, run it through compressor, as ProRes HQ.
I have a feeling that third party software is using a hacked reverse engineered ProRes Codec and Cinema Tools is balking.

Axle Transfer (formerly Boris Transfer) has a 14 day free trial. Does pretty much the same thing as Automatic Duck.
I have the Boris version (they sold it recently) and it works well enough. Keep in mind there are many things Avid does quite differently than FCP7, so no translation is ever perfect.

The other issue is a presumably temporary one…
Avid has noted a performance issue with the 12 core Westmere and 12 core New Mac Pros.
Hoping they have it fixed in 8.4.

Paragon NTFS for Mac is 20 bucks. If the client is important to you, just get it. The freeware stuff is crap.

Not saying it will work, but it only takes a few minutes to try…
AMA link to the original audio rushes in a new empty bin. (Yes, you can AMA link audio files..not commonly done, but it’s possible)
Duplicate the final sequence and put it in its own bin. (Don’t mess with the original, close its bin immediately)
Select the duplicate sequence in the bin, and then all the original audio rushes clips in their bin.
Using the Relink command, attempt to Relink the duplicate sequence to the selected original rushes based on Source File Name. The original file names are retained in metadata when the editor first imported them, and the files are the exact same length..so it’s possible the sequence will link perfectly to them.If the Relink is successful, export a new AAF. I have doubts this will work, especially given the lack of time code, but it’s worth a few minutes to try.

You are a exporting a copy of your original media in the AAF wrapper. No additional compression.
However, you will get recompression when you export from After Effects. You can minimize this by exporting from AE using a hi quality codec. DNXHD 220X, maybe. Not sure what your original footage is.

I haven’t done it in years, but you can send your audio to Soundtrack Pro directly from FCP and export an AAF from there.
