How about trying a little Unsharp Mask (EFFECT > BLUR & SHARPEN > UNSHARP MASK)

Obviously you’ve put a lot of work into this. I’ve done photo montages for my family and the scanning and image preparation itself takes quite a while. I would have liked some of the shots to hold longer, these kind of videos can be very emotional for the target audience and it’s worth holding some of the more powerful shots a little longer. Also I’d replace some of the cheesy transitions (clock wipes etc) with simple fades – the viewer will be able to see each shot slightly longer also.

In the Scene Preview window there is a light grey box with the word “Background” above it. You click on this to change the background color. To use an image you need to click on the darker grey box directly below the light grey box and choose an image to use.

Just to confirm… have you selected the render with audio option in the Output Module section of the Render Queue window?
