I have created a lower third that wipes on following an animated bug. My problem is that once I import it into Avid the wipe that I use to reveal the lower third wipes off the video background. I want the wipe to not affect the video at all, just the lower third.

The lower third is an animated Digital Juice lower third. There are two lines of text on top of that. A pre-built animation of a flowing ribbon comes in and acts as the force that reveals the lower third. I used a radial wipe on the lower third and the text. The wipe on the lower third seems to be the problem.

I am rendering out as an AVI, lower field first, RGB & Alpha, Straight.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

Has the Avid inverted your Alpha channel?

No, we have tried importing it as is, inverted and ignored and non eof them worked. There are wipes on the text that are not a problem only the wipe on the Digital Juice lower third. I even tried deleting that layer and building it again. Same problem.

Problem solved. It ended up being a bad import of the lower third.

    Thanks
