The new unified interface has been included with the just released FX version of ProAnimator. That means it will only be a matter of time before we see that in the AE version.

Hmm, I had this same problem recently… what version of ProAnimator are you using? Is there a layer map applied? A reflecion map perhaps? What happens if you disable them?

What compression format are you using? It sounds as if the computer you are playing them back on can’t handle the size of the movie. I generally render my finals at high quality, for example, Quicktime Animation codec at 100%, then export a smaller movie compressed to H264 for computer playback…

    Hi Topher,
Can you show us an example of the problem?

3D Invigorator is absolutely CS3 compatible. I use it all the time.

  • Hi Howard,
Out of curiosity, what makes you say that ProAnimator is one of the least intuitive AE plug-ins? Please also keep in mind that Making It Look Great 2 and 3 are based on After Effects and Zaxwerks 3D Invigorator. Making It Look Great 4 (out very soon) is based on AE, ProAnimator and 3D Flag; and Making It Look Great 5 will be After Effects based, with no specific 3rd Party Plug-ins.

You could do it with a single text layer by animating the SOURCE TEXT property. You may find this preset useful as well: https://aefreemart.com/2006/09/13/ae-captions/

April 1, 2008 at 8:21 pm in reply to: Ribbon type flag in 3D flag plugin?

Not with the most realistic results. You’d be better served using a 3D app for this. You could apply 3D flag to this file but you wouldn’t be able to create the depth that this banner portrays.

April 1, 2008 at 8:19 pm in reply to: is it possible to get 3d flag to cast shadows?

Not as part of the effect. Try duplicating the flag, colorizing it to black, reducing the opacity and offsetting it in your scene.
