Have you tried the Matte Choker effect? Adjust the Gray Level Softness parameter to “feather” the edges of the alpha.

Select the layer you want to centre, hold down the Option key (Alt) and double click the Pan Behind Tool. This will centre the layer in the comp window.

If you are using the Spacebar to play you won’t get an audio preview. You’ll need to do a RAM Preview. To do this press 0 on the keypad.

Sounds like you have the 3D switch active for the Invigorator layer… if so, turn it off.

I haven’t tried with CS2 yet but 3D Invigorator can use CS files saved in Illustrator format. What version of Invigorator are you using? You can also save as version 8 but make sure it’s an AI file not an EPS. If you are still having problems email me the file and I’ll check it out. john@motionworks.com.au.

You need more space around the layer. Delete the Shine Effect (or copy it). Select the Crystal ball layer and PSD layer and choose LAYER > PRECOMPOSE. Choose the “Move all attributes” option. Now reapply the Shine effect to this new precomp layer and you should be good to go.

Nice one Brian. One thing is that you seem to have used a lot of Shine, 3D Stroke and Particles (Particular I guess) which makes much of your work appear similar… Maybe you could consider not using them in the next few jobs…
