One thing I do know is that you need to be using 10.3.4 or above to take advantage of the Open GL 2.0 features.

Just did a test and it works okay. If you check the Channels window in Photoshop you should see the alpha…
Have you considered saving in Filmstrip (FLM) format from AE? That way you can see every frame of your sequence as a single document in Photoshop, which makes frame by frame roto work much easier.JD

Best case would be something like Flame where you can toggle between adjusting the motion path or the graph depending on your preference.

You can change the shape of your motion path by dragging keyframes in the Value Graph (VG), this is something you couldn’t do in earlier versions. You can OPTION/ALT drag on keyframes in the Value Graph but that changes the interpolation of the Speed Graph. When I first used the Graph Editor I kept trying to option drag out handles on the value graph. I’m really not sure why Adobe choose this behaviour, it makes the Value Graph for Position a bit of a lame duck.

not quite sure I understand exactly what you are trying to do here… There is a split command (EDIT > SPLIT LAYER) which you can use to cut up your clip. If you apply time remapping to the clip before splitting you only have to apply it once, then you can go ahead and time remap each individual layer…

This is wrong. The behaviour should be the same as in 6.5. Did you try restarting AE (or your computer)?
