  • Question about ram preview in AE7

Posted by Marco on January 25, 2006 at 10:00 am

In previous version I was used to do this: ram preview, switch temporaly to another app, come back to AE click anywhere stopping the ram preview.
Now it seems that I’ve to wait the ram preview finish to preview the entire work area … clicking doesn’t stop the preview, neither pressing esc or any other key.
    Any hint?

This is wrong. The behaviour should be the same as in 6.5. Did you try restarting AE (or your computer)?

    Thanks for your reply John.
yes, I’ve restarted AE and the computer as well … it seems that AE7 uses a different way to switch. Now it seems to work if I click on the AE taskbar button. It doesn’t works if I switch via CTRL+TAB.

    Ok, I’ve got it.
The esc key doesn’t works anymore like in the previous version: in AE 6.5 (and previous) esc key stop the ram preview.
Now pressing esc key stop the preview *but* starts it immediately.
