No, I looked for it as well, and cannot find it on the Knowledgebase. I am on Xpress Pro PC, so I don’t think mine would help you. Ask over at the Avid user forums.

I think you are not using enough dilithium crystals, Mr. Scott. 🙂
Did you say the files are DVCPro? That’s not DV25, it’s DV50.
Are the projects the footage plays fine in on the MC and the AXP DV25 projects?
Can you copy the OMF files from the MC to the MCA in question and have them play there?

I think it is all but identical to the AG-DV2500, which I own. I, too, have problems with Digital Cut on this deck, especially witht he latest versions of Avid. Tell me, does the DV3000U have RS-422 connections? Are you using it? It makes a world of difference with the 2500. Indeed, since the decks are all but identical, you should try the AG-DV2500 template and let us know if that works for you.

Do you have any version of Boris FX? It’s easy to import into Boris and roll the item on and off the screen.

Sad but true. I have to do this constantly, and occasionally at random times. 🙁
I really wish this was as easy and straightforward as it should be, given that it’s just a matter of transferring data.

If this good technical advice from Jon doesn’t fix it for you, try creating a new user and user settings. Sometimes Avid gets confused or confounded, and starting with “fresh” settings can fix unusual errors.

What version of Xpress Pro are you using? Are you copying the files to the Avid MediaFiles folder on your media drive? Lastly, have you deleted the database files so Avid can rebuild them after you copy the files over?
Let us know the answer to these questions and maybe we can help from there.

Is everything else working normally? Are other applications sluggish? Are your drives nearly full (system and media drives)?
Did you install Avid off of DVDs or from a download? If a download, I would suggest uninstalling Avid COMPLETELY, including all Avid, Digidesign and Sentinel references you can find in your add/remove and in your Windows Explorer. Do a fresh download of the most current upgrade and install that again. Don’t forget to insure you are using the latest nVidia driver as per the readme.
Try this and let us know if it helps.

No, sometimes Avid gets confused with P2 files and shows them as offline, and then when forced to rebuild the database, they magically show up.
Not a technical explanation as to why, for sure. But I’ve had that happen to me on numerous occasions as shooters are handing me cards and I’m importing. Refreshing the database lets Avid’s Media Tool get back in shape.
This happens to me when I’m importing P2 with Avid still open. If all your importing is done when Avid is closed, opening Avid will refresh the database. Most times, Avid will do it on the fly as you import the P2 files, not even having to as much as minimize the program. But sometimes it can use refreshing, too.
