    Avid startup …Comes very late….

    Hi,
    We have upgrade to Avid Xpress PRO 5.7.2.Did a fresh Win xp SP2,Drivers,Avid Xpress 5.7.2 etc.
    But Avid Startup is coming at least 2 minutes after the system and fully booted and till then we are unable to do any actions.
    System is HPXW8000 with 2 GB RAM,Nvideo9600,External Storage Medea raid RTRX with HP XW8000 onboard SCSI .
    Please help.

    Is everything else working normally? Are other applications sluggish? Are your drives nearly full (system and media drives)?

    Did you install Avid off of DVDs or from a download? If a download, I would suggest uninstalling Avid COMPLETELY, including all Avid, Digidesign and Sentinel references you can find in your add/remove and in your Windows Explorer. Do a fresh download of the most current upgrade and install that again. Don’t forget to insure you are using the latest nVidia driver as per the readme.

    Try this and let us know if it helps.
