Add a second output module that outputs only the alpha channel.

Also check your AE preferences so that the audio preview is set to longer than 8 seconds. I routinely set mine to preview 30 seconds of audio.

If you shot on DV footage this can be a problem for any keyer.

if you have After Effects check out dvMatte from dvgarage.com. it is optimized for Dv and does a terrific job.

    1. Always work on new layers above the original. Duplicate the original layer so if you mess up you can start all over again without having to go to the history palette or reopen the image.

    2. Add a sepia tone color adjustment layer.

    3. Paint on new layers above the sepia tone with the paint brush set to a lowered opacity or using a different blending mode (like overlay or color) with a lower percentage. Be sure to select areas to make sure that the color doesn’t go into the wrong pixels.

Wacom Intuos 3. It has more levels of pressure sensitivity than the less expensive Graphire so it will be a little more capable of very small and subtle changes. I prefer the smaller sizes as it’s easier to go from corner to corner of the monitor. I use a 6×8 in the studio and 4×5 with my Powerbook when traveling.

I frequently use the stylus instead of the mouse these days.

Setting the canvas magnification to more than 100% will always result in pixellation. It’s like lookiong at a printed page with a magnifying glass–you’ll start seeing more and more of the ink pattern the more you magnify it.

Changing the scale of the element in the project is preferred to scaling the file permanently–you have more control. The costs include slowing processing and probably running into the 2K size limit more frequently.

    Anna,

    1. Go to the first frame where your son is in the scene. Using the selection tool, move the text identifier where you want it to be.

    2. Turn on the auto-record button.

    3. Step through the video and move the text identifier when necessary. Continue until the entire clip is done.

    4. Play back the clip and check your work. Make changes as necessary

    5. When satisfied, turn off the auto-record button.

Corel is Corel, Adobe is Adobe. Interaction is a function of how the app is programmed. There is some flexibility in terms of remapping keyboard shortcuts in Adobe, but that’s it.

Whoops, wrong forum (thought this was AE).

You can simulate 3D by applying layer styles like Bevel.
