adding Sepia and color to a photoshop document
I’ve pasted several black and white photos together and now I would like to make the document sepia. Then I would like to add color to certin parts of the photos. How do I do that?

1. Always work on new layers above the original. Duplicate the original layer so if you mess up you can start all over again without having to go to the history palette or reopen the image.
2. Add a sepia tone color adjustment layer.
3. Paint on new layers above the sepia tone with the paint brush set to a lowered opacity or using a different blending mode (like overlay or color) with a lower percentage. Be sure to select areas to make sure that the color doesn’t go into the wrong pixels.

I don’t understand. I’m new to this part. I’m making one sepia and one black and white with color. I didn’t understand your instructions.

So you want to have a sepia version and a second B&W version with some color areas?

You will find google.com and dogpile.com to be wonderful resources as there are thousands of tutorials out on the web that are free and immediately accessible.
