It also looks like DVDA was updated from build 133 to build 135 but there are no release notes for build 135. Anyone know what changed?

The most common problem is in the Preferences, the “Video” tab, set the “Dynamic RAM Preview max” to 0. By default this has some value and lots of crashes go away when set to 0.

Also, for me and others, in “Preferences”, changing the setting for “Dynamic RAM Preview max” to “0” seems to reduce crashes dramatically, especially the “undo” crash.

Agreed, it went missing in V10, sure makes it hard to select regions without it.

Thanks all. My computer defaults properly to open V11 from the explorer, it just defaults to V10 from within V11 when trying to open a V11 nested veg while editing a V11 veg. I’ll look into Jim P’s suggestion about the registry, but I don’t want to uninstall V10 just for this issue.

I have used multiple tracks with multiple masks, each track offset a bit to hide spots, like Photoshop’s “clone stamp” tool. The masks are made using Vegas’ mask in “Event Pan/Crop”. Not sure if Vegas Movie Studio has this feature, that’s what the OP has. But in Vegas Pro you will also need to click the “Save Markers/Regions” button to save the markers. Then you can also use the “Promote Media Markers” script to bring the embedded media markers to the timeline.

There does seem to be a limit of how high a bitrate you can use. For instance, I can’t go above 8mbps when rendering 1280×720 24p in Sony AVC.

You can only changed this setting for each event (clip) when it is on the timeline. Right-click and either set it with the “Switches” or go into the “Properties”.

Yeah, this is especially bad when doing a render, as it “remembers” the directory of the last render. So I sometimes find a render from a while back within the wrong folder, and it makes me wonder if that render was supposed to be the final tweak of an edit that went to the client. Hate it.
