What version of media100 are you using that you can’t have mixed file types in a time line Media100 was doing that before FCP. We switched to Final Cut because we switched to XSAN and Media100 doesn’t play well with XSAN.

This is from the tec specs for FCS.
1GB of RAM (2GB of RAM recommended when working with compressed HD and uncompressed SD sources; 4GB of RAM recommended when working with uncompressed HD sources)

Closed Captioning is a FCC requirement so pretty much all of them.

What are you going to do with the file? As far as I know they have not told us anything about the settings yet. We may know more after the PBS meetings before NAB in a couple of weeks.

What format and how did you capture it? If it’s SD and you captured PRO Res then VITC might still be used.

Just look around. APT requires you put it on the show. PBS puts it on during the feed NETA, https://www.netaonline.org/ProgSvc.htm
KNME-TV/Westlink, https://www.knme.org/production/index.php
and NEBRASKA Public Television each has their own policy but pretty much follow the PBS Red Book.

I gave up trying to please everyone, just make the DVD
(16:9 Pan-Scan,Letterbox) in DVD Studio and let the end user set playback on their DVD player. The setup on almost all DVD players lets the end user pick what type of TV they have.
