We had a card today that was copied to a server last month and some of the video files were missing. For whatever reason the transfer was interrupted and all of the video files didn’t make it. The audio files, Proxy files etc. made it but 5 video files were missing. The card has been used many times over and we are just out of luck.
I would check if all the files are in their folders and then if they are, look for someone with HD log to fix the files if possible. You have to double check folder sizes when you copy.

Are we talking P2 here or what?
Maybe these clips are parts of a longer shot and you need to drag or add them to the Queue to be sewn together.

INT SG means “internal signal generator” as in Black or Bars.
Make sure it says HDSDI as well.

I don’t have a AJA IOHD but on the control panel software for the Kona cards you can override the FCP settings and output a secondary output to the primary HDSDI out. Maybe it’s there. The 1700 sometimes gets confused when you feed it an SD signal just like the SD DVCPro machines don’t like it when you send them HD.

Sounds like the deck is set to record at 1080i.

Are you using an AJA card? The drivers for Media100 and FCP are not compatible and you would need them on separate boot partitions. If not make sure you run all the updates.

Full size Prores or uncompressed SD (720 x 486) via SDI, composite or component will capture line 21 but the minute you edit it will go away unless you do a wipe to preserve the line 21 info. I don’t think firewire will do that as dv or dv50 will will be 720 x 480 and CC goes away.

Are you doing one card at a time? I’ve seen this before but can’t remember what it was . You may have spanned clips that are on 2 cards. More likely what Shane said.

    Hi Larry,

What codec are you editing in? What critters are you shooting these days? Get some sleep, posting at 2 in the morning isn’t often very productive.

Yes it’s a sync issue. Are you using component cables from the deck or composite? Do yo have a black burst generator? If not can you in the AJA panel lock to incoming video or if you have a an extra composite out of the deck try running it to the genlock of the ioHD.
