  • How do I make BOTH Widescreen & Fullscreen versions of 720p ON THE SAME DVD?

Posted by Ryan Domis on December 21, 2008 at 4:50 pm

I filmed a project in dvcprohd 720/24p. My client would like the option of being able to choose between the native widescreen format, and a full screen format from the same DVD menu. I understand how to fit 720/24p footage in regularly, but how would I crop it or make it fit into a 4:3? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

I gave up trying to please everyone, just make the DVD
(16:9 Pan-Scan,Letterbox) in DVD Studio and let the end user set playback on their DVD player. The setup on almost all DVD players lets the end user pick what type of TV they have.

    Hi Ryan,
There is only one way to make the 4×3 that is cropping the sides of the 16×9 movie.
Just drop the 16×9 movie in a 4×3 sequence and adjust it.
