sure. mark your in and out and then look at the “Program” pane and in the lower right corner you will see your time in min/sec/frames.
Or you can also select a clip and hit “Mark Selection” and you will get the duration of that clip. very handy.

are you pressing on any other keys when you launch Premiere ? i think there is a key you can press that will trash your prefs on launch.

if you have “snap” turned on in the timeline then Premiere will not give a smooth drag.

isolate the word “TALLER” using crop.
in your “effects controls” uncheck “uniform scale”
at the top of the effects tab select the word “motion”.
you will see a cross hair in the middle of the screen.
place the bottom of the word Taller on the cross hair.
in the motion tab move the word up so that it is level with your other words.
change “scale height” and the word will grow but it’s base will stay in the same place.
you can animate this so the word will grow.

in your Export Settings uncheck “render at max depth”, uncheck “use max render quality” uncheck “use frame blending”.
but DO check “use previews”

underneath your cropped clip place another clip of the color you want the border to be and crop it so that it looks like you have the border you want.
