  • Framing a cropped clip within a clip

    Hi..
One video clip is on the timeline as a background.
Another clip is a detail video, covering about a quarter of the video area and scaled and cropped down. (to give more detailed information to the viewer)

.: this detail clip needs have a border. As this clip is cropped and scaled, all the picture and simple border effects do not make an outline of the new cropped/scaled clip…. only the original uncropped clip … so the borders are nowhere framing the new cropped clip.

Seems I have to export out and bring it back in ….!Ive tried compound the clip first but no good. Should be possible ????

Hope you see what I mean.

    Thanks for all your help
    Anita Sancha.

underneath your cropped clip place another clip of the color you want the border to be and crop it so that it looks like you have the border you want.

Or…nest the track containing the insert shots and apply the border filter to the nest.

Not my monkeys. Not my circus.
