Smooth preview while dragging cursor on timeline
Hi 🙂 I was wondering if there’s a way to setup premiere so that while im dragging cursor over clip – preview is smooth…? I know that Edius do nice job with this but premiere not showing clips smoothly while dragging slider. Does this have something to do with buffer size? It’s HD video… my processor is i3 with 4 gigs of RAM… thanks in advance 🙂

if you have “snap” turned on in the timeline then Premiere will not give a smooth drag.

no my friend, it’s not that… it’s like Premiere is struggling to smoothly preview fast dragging while Edius does the job much better. Im not reffering that Edius is better than Premiere (it’s not 🙂 ), just for comparison.
